Dear Family,
Happy 4th of July! Thanks for your e-mail. It sounds like things are going pretty good. I hope Dad and Michael's health improves. That's cool that so many people are coming down for the holiday. I've already decided that I want to run the 5K next year, I'll probably ask you to sign me up for it. I hope I get one of those wedding invitations pretty soon.
Things here are going well. Raynald was baptized on Saturday. It was the first baptism this branch has had this whole year. But we just set a goal of five for July, so hopefully we'll have more in the near future. The service went fairly well. There were some hiccups, like the Spanish Elder's car breaking down so we were forced to sing accapella, and we found out at the last minute that the branch president had to work so his counselor conducted the meeting as well as performed the baptism. Also Raynald was a little bit late, but in the end he was baptized and everything went well. Yesterday, he was confirmed in Sacrament meeting as well.
Yesterday we were also able to go to a baptism in Lehigh. There were three kids from Immokalee who were baptized. They hold their baptisms in Lehigh because they don't have a font in Immokalee yet. Two of the priests were able to baptize them. One of them (Milsont) baptized his two little brothers. It was really cool to see. Most all of the missionaries have taught them, and Milsont and his brother were some of the first people to get baptized there, they are the reason most of the members there were baptized.
The work here is going pretty good. We have some pretty good investigators and we have a lot of work to do. This week should be really good. This week is also the last week of the transfer and I think I may be leaving Naples. It would be rough to leave right now when things are going so well.
But I hope that everything goes well this week. Have a great fourth of July!
Love,
Elder Larson
