Dear Mom and Dad,
Things here are going well. I thought about you guys at scout camp pretty much all week. It sounds like it went well. I can't even imagine 235 people trying to crowd around the outdoor chapel. That is insane. I hope everything is going well for Edward at Entrada as well.
This week went pretty well. Our teaching pool is starting to die down and the areas that we were working in have all been tracted. But that's ok with me because I am pretty ready to move on to the next area. I was thinking back and I have been teaching pretty much the same people that I was when I first got here. We found them all my first week or two and have just been teaching them the whole time. Now I just hope that they will be able to be baptized before I leave. Raynald is scheduled to be baptized this Saturday. Everything is looking pretty good. We were scared that we would have to postpone the baptism yesterday because we hadn't been able to get a hold of the people that give him a ride. We have a little unwritten rule that an investigator can't be baptized if they are not at church the week before. Luckily his mom, who normally works on Sunday mornings, was able to give him a ride. It was really a miracle for us.
Our other investigators are still pretty much the same. Jean (the 16 yr old) wasn't able to come to church again because his parents left him to take care of his younger siblings. The Joseph family is all doing pretty good. We had a lesson with the Dad by himself at the church and he told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is true and that the church is true but he wants to wait for his wife. We were a little reluctant because his wife hasn't been to positive and we don't want to stall his progress but we respected his wishes and we are going to be working with the mom even more. Yesterday, she came to church for the first time even though she had worked the night before and hadn't slept yet. So maybe she is more positive than we thought.
But all in all things are going great. Today we are going to play some volleyball and maybe go out to eat. There are going to be a ton of missionaries here because both district leaders are doing exchanges and the English Elders are switching the car. Then we have Raynald's interview at 5 after which I will be going to Immokalee until Wednesday. But thanks for your e-mail, it was good to hear about camp, I'm glad that it went well. I can't wait to hear from you again next week.
Love,
Elder Larson
