Dear Mom and Dad,

It was great to hear from you. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a pretty good day. I can't believe I am 21 either!

This past week went fairly well. We had some troubles seeing a couple of our investigators. But we set a baptismal date with Reginald and met a few new people. Reginald was a little reluctant to set a date anytime soon. But we told him to think about it and pray about it and he chose the 18th of June. We're pretty excited for him. We also had an old investigator show up to church out of the blue. Her name is Pasyamise. We taught her during 2nd hour and focused a lot on baptism. She said that she wants to be baptized but she doesn't want to do it any time soon. So we are going to wait and see if she how interested she really is. So things are going forward. Our whole zone is doing pretty good right now. All but two areas have at least one investigator with a baptismal date, and the sisters have 6.

This week we started doing splits with a recently returned missionary that lives pretty close to the church. He served Spanish speaking in Tempe, but he want to be a translator so we've been helping him learn some Creole. He doesn't have a job or anything yet so he has helped us a lot. We also realized that we were in the MTC at the same time. It's weird. Also, yesterday I met a former Haitian missionary from this mission. He visited our branch and we talked to him for a while. He is originally from Monticello. He is Dallin* Boyd's older brother. I had heard that there had been a missionary from Monticello that served here but it wasn't until we asked him where he was from and he responded with "well, have you ever heard of Moab..." and I thought "hey, that's what I always tell people" that I realized who he was.

So things here are going well. I hope that everything is going well for you. Have a great week, and I look forward to hearing from you in a week.
Love,
Elder Larson
