Dear Mom and Dad,
Conference was great wasn't it? I really enjoyed all that talks. Priesthood session was especially good. It made me think of home a little. But it was good.
We didn't have a lot of members of investigators come to the church for conference. But the ones that did got a lot out of it. The work is going pretty well right now. Elder Jones is ready to go home, but I'm trying to keep him here mentally. Our teaching pool is fairly dry. We are teaching Jason, Sylla, Carmel, and that is about it. We have a couple other people but they are both going to Haiti within the next couple of weeks.
Jason is doing really well. He is excited for his baptism, and his mom is excited for him too. He has started reading more in his Book of Mormon and he was able to attend conference. This week we just have to finish teaching him some of the smaller commandments and have him interviewed by the zone leaders. He should be good to go.
Sylla and Carmel aren't doing as hot. They are still really hard to see, and they have stopped coming to church. I'm not sure what is going to happen with them. Their new-member kids, Kirk and Wallace, are doing really well though. They were at one session of conference, have been at church every week since they were baptized and are becoming good friends with the rest of the youth.
I think that I have some pictures lying around. I haven't taken any in a while though. I will try to get you some new ones though. I'm not sure if I can upload them to the computer in the Library, if not I will just mail them. Sorry I've been slacking on that.
I sure hope that everything is going well, I can't wait to hear from you next week!
Love,
Elder Larson
