Dear Mom and Dad,
How are you? How is everything going? Things here are going great. Right now we are in the middle of a cold snap, the temperature was as low as 54 yesterday. It makes things really nice.
This week was really good. It started with a little trip up to Tampa. It was kind of weird to be back in the mission home, it brought back some old memories. It was hard to see Elder Hall and Elder Jones go home, but I was glad I could be there too. My new companion's name is Elder Arrieus. He is from Cardston, but he is originally from Montreal and the rest of his family is from France. He has only been speaking English for nigh unto three years (but you couldn't tell by talking to him). His Kreyol is already pretty good too. He is a good missionary and we had a good first week.
Our teaching pool is really really small right now. Our only investigators aren't really progressing. But we have a lot of new potential investigators that we have talked to so with some effective follow-up our pool should go back up.
One of the things that we focused on this week was working with our new converts. Partly because our Branch mission leader doesn't speak much English, we teach all of the new member lessons. Kirk, Wallace, and Jheasong (Jason) are all doing great. Jheasong even received the Priesthood yesterday. They did it in his class so I wasn't there but he seemed really happy after church when I talked to him about it, especially when we talked about him passing the sacrament.I was really cool because he is someone who doesn't show very much emotion.
But things are going great, I think today we are going to take advantage of the great weather and go play some football, I'm excited. But I hope that everything is going great, I appreciate everything that you do for me!
Love,
Elder Larson
