Che Fanmi m,
What a crazy week! My first week with Elder Valentine was pretty good. We didn't have as much success as we wanted to see but we saw so many good things and I learned some valuable lessons along the way. Right now we have four people scheduled to be baptized this Saturday. Mary Fadeal is finally all set and we also have three young kids named Juliet, Jerry, and Juliana. They are all such great people and I'm so excited to see them enter the waters of baptism but also saddened to realize that I won't be seeing them as often after this weekend. I have learned so much from them and have so many good memories with them. We are also teaching another family who was supposed to be baptized this weekend as well, but unfortunately they aren't going to be ready by Saturday. But they are still really fun to teach and we're looking forward to a new baptismal date later in the month. All in all, we have a ton of really great people to work with (which is pretty easy when you're teaching Haitians).
In other news, the weather here got pretty cold this week got way down into the 50's early on. I even wore a long sleeve shirt on a day besides Sunday. Halloween was pretty uneventful, we were asked to go home an hour early, and we didn't have any trick-or-treaters either. I did get all of the packages you sent, thank you for all of those. Thanks for all that you do for me and I hope everything is still going great at home.
Love,
Elder Larson
