Dear Family,
Thanks for the e-mail. It's good to hear all the health and other news. It's sounds like things are busy as ever on the home front. That's good to hear. Things here are going great. The work is starting to pick up slightly. Last night we gave a baptismal date to a young boy named Peter. He is friends with another young boy, Jerry, who was just baptized. He is a really good kid and wants to get baptized. His mom is really supportive even though we can't get her to have any lessons with us. It's refreshing to teach someone who's parents actually want them to get baptized. We gave him a date for January 3rd, which looks pretty good, but he is a busy kid so we'll have to work hard to make sure he's ready by that date. We hope that Jerry can be supportive of him.
Can you believe it is already December? I'm very excited for Christmas. It was great to be able to watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional last night and to really get into the holiday spirit. We don't have to many plans for Christmas. We have Christmas Zone Conference with half the mission next week. We'll probably do some caroling. The branch is going to have a party. Then, on Christmas itself we will just hang out with the other companionship here in Fort Myers, eat with some members, and then call our families. It should be a great day.
My companion is cool. His name is Elder Valentine. He is from Fairbanks AK. He has four younger sisters. He has been out the longest of any Haitian missionary (about 15 months), and he is a good missionary. Well, It was really good to hear from you. I hope everything is going well at home. You are in my prayers.
Love,
Elder Larson
P.S. Happy Birthday Dad!
