E-mail of Aug. 25, 08

Dear Family,
Well, this week has been quite the interesting one. It all started with the little rain storm(s) we had. I think some of the storms we had through out the rest of the week were as strong as Fay. After that little adventure, we got back to work on Wednesday. It was nice to get back to work after a day of sitting in the church. Then Thursday my companion got a migraine and he's been out of it since. We've been struggling to get much work done because he's been needing to sleep so much. It did give me a good chance to catch up on my reading though. I read from 3rd Nephi to the end of The Book of Mormon as well as a few chapters in Jesus the Christ. Now that I've finished the Book of Mormon I can start again and try to finish by December like President Colton challenged us to do. So that pretty much sums up my week.Our teaching is going pretty good considering the amount of work we did. Fernand Delva (the 14 year old) has a baptismal date for the 6th. He is pretty excited and is progressing pretty good. We're not sure if he really understands everything that we're teaching him so we're trying to make sure that he really understands what he'd be doing if we baptize him. Also we may have some problems with his dad who is a pretty solid Catholic. We also have a few other people who have been progressing that we would like to give a date to. So the teaching is going pretty good.It sounds like things are pretty good in the dry land. That's good to hear the football team is off to a good start. I have been wondering about that. How are the Olympics going/went? I heard about Michael Phelps and that one sprinter, I think his name is Bolt or something. Not that I care about that stuff or anything.Well, I think that's about all I have to say for this week. It was great to get your e-mail. I always look forward to hearing all about what's happening at home and sharing what I've been doing. I can't wait to hear from you again next week!
