Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm glad to hear that you had such a good week. I'm excited for the football team. It sounds like everything else is going great as well.
Things here are going pretty well. The work is getting better every day. Our teaching pool got a little bigger this week. We started teaching five new people. There is a man named Ralph and his brother Frero. We also started teaching a woman named Florence- Apollo and her two sons Lee and Harvey. They are all really nice people. They all have their hang-ups but they agreed to read and pray so we'll take what we can get. We still are having trouble finding very many Haitians, but the work is still going forward somehow. The branch is doing really good right now. A lot of the leadership positions are being filled and everyone is excited at how the branch is progressing. When I first came here, it was basically just the branch president doing everything. Now we have full Branch, Relief Society, Elders Quorum, young men, and young women presidencies. About half of them are filled by Haitians. But the other companionship here is doing really well. They already had three baptisms lined up for this weekend and then this week they had a family of former investigators call them up and wanting to be baptized. So the branch is growing number wise as well.
I'm really excited for Thanksgiving. We're not sure exactly what our plans are, but they will include a turkey bowl with some games against the Immokalee youth, a viewing of Remember the Titans, and at least one turkey dinner so it should be really good. Also, this coming Sunday, the branch will be having a pot-luck, so we should be taken care of.
Everything is going great here, I hope the same can be said for ya'll. I love you a lot. Take care.
Love,
