Dear Family,
Happy Haitian flag day! It sounds like things are going well at home. It was nice to talk to you last week. Happy late-anniversary!
Everything here in Naples is going great. There has been a lot of rain these past couple of weeks. It looks like summer has arrived in full force. The work is going pretty well right now. We are still riding our bikes a lot and teaching a lot of lessons. We have two people who have a baptismal date but neither one of them were able to make it to church this week. Because the area in which we work is so far away, it can be tough to get people to come to church. We are working with the English ward to work out some rides. We taught a couple of new people this week. The first is a teenage boy named Jean. He is really positive but we haven't had a chance to really talk to his parents to much yet. But he told us he wants to bring all his siblings to church when he comes. The other person is named Johanna. She is pretty positive, and has a really nice family. Plus, she has a car and a license so she shouldn't need a ride.
Today, as I mentioned earlier, is Haitian flag day. Since today is a Monday we celebrated on Saturday. Our branch went over to Immokalee and we ate food, played soccer, and listened to a former Haitian senator speak. It was a really good party and I learned some good things about Haiti. But things are going great here. I hope everything is going just as well for you. Tell everyone hi for me.
Love,
Elder Larson
