I'm Off

Elder Don Larson entered the MTC in Provo at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28th, 2008. He was set apart as an Elder on Sunday evening May 25th by President Lemuel Redd. Elder Larson went to Provo on Tuesday with his parents. They stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Pope's house that night. The next day lunch was eaten at Tucano's in Provo. After everyone was stuffed, Elder Larson, brother Michael, Mom and Dad Larson all proceeded to the Missionary Training Center. While walking down the hall to the chapel, they met Elder Marly Haws from Blanding who was just leaving the cafeteria. A hostess there called it a "tender mercy" to meet a friend so soon after arriving. After the "called to serve" orientation meeting and some quick goodbyes, Elder Larson was off and running. He is excited to finally be there and to get working.
